1. Who this policy covers
open-jobs is a job discovery directory. This policy covers visitors to this website and business information contained in listings collected from permitted public sources. The legal operator and privacy contact and operating country are still awaiting confirmation. This notice remains a draft; a dedicated public privacy contact has not yet been supplied.
2. Information we process
When you search, the service receives the search words, filters, requested page, and job identifier needed to return results. Search filters also appear in the page URL, which can remain in your browser history and appear in server logs. Avoid entering private or sensitive information into search.
Our hosting and access providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, URLs, authentication information, and security logs to deliver and protect the service. open-jobs records aggregate page views, referrer domains, searches, filter usage, listing views, outbound clicks, and zero-result searches. These counters contain no visitor identifier, full search text, IP address, or behavioural profile. We do not add advertising pixels or marketing cookies. Spaces labelled Advertisement are currently empty placeholders; no advertising network receives requests from those spaces. Before live advertising is enabled, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated to describe the actual providers and processing.
We collect job titles, employer names, locations, requirements, compensation when stated, source links, dates, and permitted hiring artwork. A source description may contain a recruiter’s business contact information. We do not deliberately collect personal profiles, private social posts, applicant records, or resumes.
3. Applications stay with the source
open-jobs does not accept applications, resumes, payments, or candidate accounts. When you use the contact form, we store your email, request type, listing URL, message, and submission time in a private administrator inbox for up to 90 days, solely to review and respond to your request. Do not include sensitive information. Applying opens an employer or source website. Information you give that website is subject to its own privacy notice. Public job browsing does not require sign-in. Administrator access uses a separate hosting-provider sign-in.
4. How the information is used
Search information is used to return matching roles. Listing information is used to publish a useful directory, remove duplicates, identify expired records, display source attribution, and correct errors. Technical information supports delivery, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the operator must document the relevant basis as part of finalising this notice, including service delivery and proportionate legitimate interests in operating a public job directory. open-jobs does not use application data to make hiring decisions or build advertising profiles. Job categories and experience labels may be inferred from listing text; they do not assess candidates.
5. Storage, cookies, and third parties
Company logos may load from the employer’s official image host or the permitted feed’s image host. Those hosts receive your IP address and browser request to deliver the image; we suppress the page referrer. Logos identify employers and do not imply endorsement.
A local-storage preference named “job-breeze-theme” remembers your light or dark theme on this browser. You can remove it by clearing site data. Fonts and the animated background are served by open-jobs. The animation respects your device’s reduced-motion setting.
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers process information necessary for hosting, security, and administrator access under their own applicable terms. Data may be processed outside your country; any required transfer arrangements must be confirmed by the operator as part of finalising this notice.
External hiring artwork is not loaded until you choose to view it. Loading an external image or opening a source link sends a request to that provider, which may receive your IP address and browser details. open-jobs does not sell personal information or share it for behavioural advertising.
6. Retention
Your theme preference remains until you change it or clear browser storage. open-jobs does not create a saved search-history profile. Import-run logs are retained for 90 days. Privacy-conscious aggregate analytics are retained for 13 months and do not store visitor identifiers or full search text. Hosting security logs follow the hosting provider’s settings.
Listings last checked more than 72 hours ago are hidden from search. Known expiry dates are enforced when available, and listings missing from a completed source refresh are removed from the active index. A stale record retained after a failed source check remains hidden until a successful complete scan resolves it. Prepared catalogue snapshots are replaced by the next packaged release. Database recovery uses the hosting provider’s point-in-time recovery window; that window depends on the hosting plan and is not a promise of 30 days. Application error counters are retained for 90 days; operational health samples for 30 days.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Requests should identify the listing or information concerned without sending unnecessary identity documents. You can submit a privacy request through our contact form. A public email and legal operator details are awaiting confirmation.
8. Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes to collection or use require an updated notice before the new activity starts. Adding accounts, alerts, advertising, or employer uploads would require a fresh review of this policy.
